MONTEREY, Calif. (BRAIN) — Organizers of next month's Sea Otter Classic bike festival said Tuesday they are keeping a close eye on the COVID-19 virus outbreak and will make an announcement about the event in the next few days.

DALLAS (BRAIN) — Organizers of the North American Handmade Bicycle Show, originally scheduled for later this month in Dallas, have postponed the show to late August because of concerns about the COVID-19 virus outbreak.

Bafang organized the delivery of protective suits, masks and goggles.

SUZHOU, China (BRAIN) — E-bike component manufacturer Bafang Electric Co. said it has resumed operations following the outbreak of the COVID-19 virus.

After Bafang was included in a first-level alert status for the past month, the Jiangsu Provincial Government reduced the threat level on Feb. 24.

 MIPS' fourth-quarter net sales increased 41% year-over-year.

STOCKHOLM (BRAIN) — MIPS' fourth-quarter net sales increased 41% year-over-year, while the helmet technology company's 2019 sales showed a 39% growth.

TEMPE, Ariz. (BRAIN) — The National Bicycle Dealer Association's latest podcast discusses e-bikes and buidling a mission-driving bike shop.

OSAKA, Japan (BRAIN) — In its bicycle-related business Shimano Inc. saw a 4.6% increase in sales in 2019 compared to 2018 and a 1% increase in operating income in the year. 

The company said sales were solid in Europe and North America and even the years'-long downward trend in China has stopped.
