SALEM, Ore. (BRAIN) — The Oregon Legislature has passed a transportation bill that includes a $15 excise tax on bikes sales. The bill is expected to be signed by Gov. Kate Brown.

The tax would apply to sales of new bikes with wheels 26 inches or larger and a retail price of $200 or more.

ST. CHARLES, Ill. (BRAIN) — Brian Orloff has resigned as managing director of Sigma USA Sport, effective Friday.

BOSTON (BRAIN) — Bill Schieken, the host of the Crosshairs cyclocross podcast, has become a managing partner at the Wide Angle Podium Network, a network of nine cycling podcasts.

OLNEY, Ill. (BRAIN) — Dahon North America is consolidating its warehouse and operations at its facility here, and ramping up its sales and support group.

"We assembled a seasoned, energetic team under Tad Kodama to make the Dahon dealer service the best in the industry," the company said.

LONDONDERRY, N.H. (BRAIN) — Velocio Apparel has closed a Series A investment round led by Steve Fuller, the former chief marketing officer at L.L. Bean.
