LOS ANGELES (BRAIN) — A company that claims to own the rights for the late comedian Chris Farley's intellectual property has filed a $10 million lawsuit against Trek Bicycles in a California court, claiming that Trek's Farley fat bike models capitalize on the name without permission.

CHICAGO (BRAIN) — A long-running personal injury lawsuit can proceed after Giant Manufacturing failed to convince the Illinois State Appellate Court that it should be cut loose from the suit because, the Taiwanese company said, it essentially had no ties to the sale of Giant bicycles in Illinois.

STOCKTON, Calif. (BRAIN) — Williams Cycling, maker of high end cycling wheels and components, is moving away from its all-online model and is now distributing directly to retailers as well.

PERTH, Australia (BRAIN) — BikeBookings.com, an Australian company that offers a software package for bike service department management and communication, is now available in the U.S.

The move consolidates Tern's U.S. and Canada operations, the company said.

IRVINE, Calif. (BRAIN) — Felt Bicycles has announced that sales representative Juan Diaz will expand his territory to all of Southern California. In addition to the California territory from San Luis Obispo in the north to San Diego in the south, Diaz also handles Nevada, Arizona and Hawaii.
