KAOHSIUNG, Taiwan (BRAIN) — Pinarello has responded to public claims that its newest road frame, introduced this week, infringes on patents owned by Velocite related to a concave downtube, intended to smooth airflow over waterbottles.

PARK CITY, Utah (BRAIN) — POC has hired cycling and snow sports veteran Mallory Burda to head its North American marketing efforts. Burda joined the Swedish brand on January 9 and will focus her efforts on POC's growing snow and bike categories.

CORTEZ, Colo. (BRAIN) — Osprey Packs has signed a distribution agreement with Quality Bicycle Products and has joined the distributor’s Dealer’s Choice program. Osprey products will available at QBP.com starting in February.

SANTA FE, N.M. (BRAIN) — Bicycle Technologies International is now distributing Bryton GPS computers, with the first shipments of Bryton products arriving in BTI's warehouse Friday.

Olson is stepping down as chief marketing officer at Specialized this month. Chrome will move from San Francisco to Portland this spring.

SAN FRANCISCO (BRAIN) — Slate Olson, who announced last week that he would step down as chief marketing officer at Specialized, will become the new president of Chrome Industries. Chrome also announced it was moving its headquarters from San Francisco to Portland in April. 

SAN CARLOS, Calif. (BRAIN) — Beeline Bikes and Competitive Cyclist announced Wednesday that Beeline’s mobile bike shops are now available as an on-site assembly option for bikes purchased on Competitive Cyclist and Backcountry.com in select markets.
