FAIRFAX, CA (BRAIN)—Swobo’s Sky Yaeger, WTB’s Patrick Seidler and Breezer’s Joe Breeze were among a select group that recently toured the Cal Park Hill Tunnel in Marin County to get a firsthand look at the $13 million bicycle/pedestrian portion.

Volkswagen is the latest non-endemic to introduce an electric bike—well kind of. The Volkswagen Bik.e can travel up to 12.5 miles on a single charge at speeds of up to 12.5 mph. But the thing that jumps right out at you is the lack of pedals or exposed gears, so it's actually closer in functionally to a scooter.
