DENVER, CO (BRAIN)—The Outdoor Industries Women’s Coalition, (OIWC), has added Hillary Harding as OIWC's development director, a newly created position aimed at enabling the organization to expand its reach and mission.
Harding is responsible for developing corporate partnerships, building a fund development program, executing special events, and collaborating with the Board of Directors on developing relationships with individual supporters.
Harding brings with her a wealth of nonprofit and outdoor industry experience. She has worked in the outdoor industry for 10 years, with the last five years in nonprofit management at Big City Mountaineers. She has also served on the OIWC Board of Directors from 2006-2009.
Harding said, "OIWC is a fantastic organization, and I'm excited to join the team. OIWC has been a strong force in the outdoor industry for 15 years and continues to be a place where women, and men, come for inspiration, education and a chance to meet other folks in the industry to share knowledge and ideas. I loved being a part of the board and am thrilled now to join the staff and help meet the needs of the industry for the next 15 years."
Sally Grimes, OIWC executive director, said, "OIWC has grown significantly over the last few years, and our members have made it clear that they want more career management resources and more opportunities to network and learn on a regional level. Hillary’s expertise in nonprofit development and experience in the outdoor industry are a perfect fit with OIWC. Her addition to the team will allow OIWC to grow its resources and expand its programs to reach these needs.”
Harding lives in Denver, Colorado, and although she dreams of returning to the sharp end of the rope, she is happy spending her free time building forts and making mud pies with her two young children.
