VANCOUVER, British Columbia (BRAIN) — Mia Kohout has been hired as the new general manager of the new Vancouver Bike Share program, which is scheduled to launch early this summer.

BREMBATE, Italy (BRAIN) — 3T Cycling has hired SpinCycle Consulting, a firm launched by Kendall Young, to head up OEM sales efforts in the U.S. 

Young is the former long-time North America sales director for Ritchey Design, and former national sales manager for Catalyst Communciation.

MILL VALLEY, Calif. (BRAIN) — DMAC — a new wool lifestyle clothing brand founded by Dave McLaughlin, a well-known member of the bike racing community — has reached its intial $12,000 startup goal on Kickstarter with about two weeks remaining in the campaign.

BOULDER, Colo. (BRAIN) — Organizers say they've registered more than 200 attendees for next month's Bicycle Leadership Conference, which will be held April 12-14 in Monterey, California. 

RAPID CITY, N.D. (BRAIN) — Strider Bikes is working with the Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers franchise in Lincoln, Nebraska, to give away 120 Strider Bikes to local youth.

Raising Cane's is hosting a Giveaway Party to hand out the bikes on April 17 at their restaurant.

BOULDER, Colo. (BRAIN) — Stages Cycling is now supplying the official power meter and indoor bikes to USA Cycling. The agreement covers USAC's developmental programs and the USA Cycling Team on the road and track for the 2016 season, including the Rio Olympic Games.

IRVINE, Calif. (BRAIN) —  BMX and mountain bike racing legend Mike King has joined Felt Bicycles as a brand ambassador. King has won more than 20 championships and is a member of the BMX Hall of Fame and the U.S. Bicycling Hall of Fame.
