CARLSBAD, Calif. (BRAIN) — Australia-based compression clothing brand 2XU has named Brian Anderson the president of its North American subsidiary. 

SANTA CRUZ, Calif. (BRAIN) — Praxis Works has appointed Antoine Berte to the newly created position of European sales and marketing director. The company said the creation of the position was in response to increasing global demand for Praxis' line of cranksets, chainrings, wheels and bottom brackets.

WASHINGTON (BRAIN) — The U.S. Senate on Monday passed H.R. 4665, the Outdoor REC Act, which would instruct the Department of Commerce and federal land management agencies to provide statistics on how the outdoor industry, including bicycling, contributes to the U.S. economy. The legislation, which the House passed earlier this month, now goes to the president's desk.

BOULDER, Colo. (BRAIN) — Camber Outdoors is launching its first-ever fund drive Tuesday in partnership with #GivingTuesday, a global day of giving. The organization joins other bike-related non-profits, including Trips for Kids, which has participated in Giving Tuesday for several years.

MONTREAL (BRAIN) — Argon 18 has opened its first international office, which comes as the Canadian bike brand begins sponsoring and supplying the Astana Pro Team, the first World Tour team that the company has supplied. The new office is Busnago, Italy.

BURNABY, British Columbia (BRAIN) — Rob Moore, the director of engineering for Race Face and Easton Cycling, has died at 46, the company said. He died Sunday of an aggressive form of melanoma cancer, surrounded by his loved ones. He is survived by his wife Catherine and their three young children.

NEW YORK CITY (BRAIN) — Brompton Bicycle is running a 2-minute ad spot in Times Square. The campaign, the brand's first outdoor ad in the U.S., is aimed at city residents and visitors. The U.K.-based brand opened an office in Brooklyn last year.
