CHAPEL HILL, N.C. (BRAIN) — Performance Bicycle is expanding to South Carolina with the opening of its first store in the state at the Gallery Shopping Center in Greenville. Set to open in late spring or early summer, the new location will increase Performance's national network to 106 stores.

LONGMONT, Colo. (BRAIN) — Cannondale told its U.S. dealers Friday that it would launch a bike discount promotion in March and April, similar to that announced by Specialized, Trek and Giant recently.

Giant and Trek say Specialized's high inventory is driving the discounts, but Specialized says it's business as usual.
Specialized's sale goes live on Tuesday.
