CHICAGO, IL (BRAIN) —SRAM issued a recall on Tuesday of certain RockShox Domain 302 and 318 fork models produced with a steel steerer tube.

SRAM is pulling these RockShox Domain forks from the marketplace due to potential for the steerer tube to fail.

WASHINGTON, D.C. (BRAIN)—The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission has issued a voluntary recall for 1,700 DiNotte Lighting Lithium-Ion batteries used with bicycle lights.

WASHINGTON, D.C. (BRAIN)—The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, in cooperation with Shimano American Corp., have voluntary recalled about 275 Dura Ace Carbon Clincher wheels. The manufacturer is Shimano Components SDN of Johor, Malaysia.

WASHINGTON, D.C. (BRAIN)—The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, in cooperation with Deda Elementi, has announced a voluntary recall of about 400 Deda Forza bicycle handlebar stems.

The top of the bicycle handlebar stem can crack and cause the rider to lose control, posing a crash hazard.

WASHINGTON, D.C. (BRAIN)—The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, in cooperation with Cervelo SA, have issued a voluntary recall of about 5,800 Wolf SL carbon fiber bicyle forks.

The manufacturer is True Temper Composite Material Products Co. Ltd, of Guangzhou, China.

WASHINGTON D.C. (BRAIN)—The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, in cooperation with Look Cycle USA, have issued a voluntary recall of about 40,000 pairs of Keo pedals.

The steel axle inside the pedal can break, posing a fall hazard to cyclists.

NORWOOD, Ontario (BRAIN)—Glacier Bikes has issued a voluntary warranty recall on all 2009 Glacier Ice Storm 2 bicycle models sold between April 1, 2008 and July 22, 2008.

WASHINGTON, D.C. (BRAIN)—The Hayes Bicycle Group is recalling 800 Sunringlé hollow quick releases due to reports that the devices can fail or break while in the locked position.

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced the voluntary recall on Wednesday.

WASHINGTON, D.C. (BRAIN)—Trek Bicycle recalled 49,000 girl’s bicycles due to an incorrectly welded frame, which could cause the frame to break while the bike is in use.

SAN CARLOS, CA (BRAIN)—Ritchey Design has announced a voluntary recall on certain WCS and Pro level road and 'cross cranksets. According to Ritchey, the
non-driveside arms of affected cranks can break unexpectedly during use, possibly resulting in injury.

BETHEL, CT (BRAIN)—The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, in cooperation with Cannondale, has announced a voluntary recall of roughly 150 Scalpel mountain bikes from the 2008 model year.

MADISON, WI (BRAIN)—The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, in cooperation with Pacific Cycle, yesterday announced a voluntary recall of the InStep Pathfinder, Schwinn Run About and Mongoose Alley Cat trailer bicycles.

Roughly 7,000 of these bikes were made.

DUARTE, CA (BRAIN)—Dahon has issued a voluntary recall of the seatpost bolt on full-size 2007 models. The seatpost bolt can break under use and may pose a potential safety hazard. The bolt should be replaced immediately.

WASHINGTON, D.C. (BRAIN)—The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, in cooperation with Specialized, yesterday announced a voluntary recall of some of the company's bicycle helmets.

Roughly 3,000 helmets were made.

WASHINGTON, D.C. (BRAIN) — Bike manufacturers could feel the backlash from a recent spate of recalls that have raised a cry for stricter product regulation from federal legislators.

WASHINGTON, D.C. (BRAIN)—The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, in cooperation with Formula Brake USA, yesterday announced a voluntary recall on its Oro Disc Brakes.

Roughly 5,700 of these brakes were sold.
