LAS VEGAS  (BRAIN) — Tony DuPont awoke last week at his Las Vegas hotel to find his bike, built around his latest prototype transmission, gone from the back of his truck. He reported the theft to the Las Vegas police but it has not yet been recovered.

LAS VEGAS (BRAIN) — After a nearly 15-year hiatus from the bike industry, framebuilder Chris Chance is resurrecting his namesake brand, Fat Chance Bicycles. Chance, one of the pioneers of mountain bikes, founded Fat City Cycles in 1982 in Somerville, Massachusetts.

FORT WORTH, Texas (BRAIN) — Bill Quinn, the longtime publisher of Bicycle Business Journal, has died. He was 102. Quinn's career spanned more than 80 years of publishing. He was still writing and taped an audio interview of his early years in newspapering just two months ago.
