InGamba touring company offers new programs for IBDs

SAUSALITO, Calif. (BRAIN) — The luxury cycling touring company inGamba is offering two new programs this year to allow bike retailers to offer travel programs to their customers on an individual or group basis. The company also can arrange custom trips that include IBD employees. The company said the programs developed from working with the IBDs who sell products from some of its supplier partners, who include Pinarello bicycles, Giordana clothing, and Giro.

"What we were seeing is that there was an opportunity to bring a hospitality and tourism product to cycling retail in a new way. As the high end of the road cycling market has evolved, the best cycling retailers have evolved with it to offer very high levels of service and to build relationships with their best customers. Typically, this involves the thoughtful customization and selection of equipment to deliver the best possible cycling experience to the consumer," said inGamba's founder, João Correia. "By adding inGamba travel to the retailers' offerings, we can enable them to deliver that same level of service in areas of ride destination, route planning, hospitality, support and the other areas that make up the entire cycling experience. We are bringing a pro-tour level experience to the cycling enthusiast. More than any other retail offering, enjoying an amazing experience with your best customers builds a lasting relationship."

InGamba developed the program with retailers Helen's Cycles  and Bicycle Haus.

InGamba offers two IBD programs. The first is that IBDs can earn a commission by inviting customers to join a scheduled inGamba trip. Alternatively, IBDs can plan exclusive trips for their staff and management and consumers. InGamba said these trips "create an unbelievable social experience to share between retailer and consumer. The IBD is compensated at a higher commission, and IBD staff is included on the trip."

During trips, guests are served by World Tour -evel mechanics and soigneurs and rides are even often led by current and former professional riders such as Ted King, Laurens Ten Dam, and Eros Poli. InGAMBA hosts guests in the Dolomites, Chianti and in Portugal, and offers programs including women's specific, couples and other options.
