HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif. (BRAIN) — Anomaly Action Sports, parent company of the Shred Optics and Slytech Protection brands, has restructured its management team.

SAINT-GEORGES, Quebec (BRAIN) — Procycle Group, the owner of the Rocky Mountain, Miele and eVo brands, has restructured its commercial department, appointing M. Patrick Ménard as Chief Commercial Officer, and Marie-Joël Bossé as Commercial Coordinator.

TEMECULA, Calif. (BRAIN) — Intense Cycles has launched a new European division in Barcelona, Spain, that will house inventory and service supporting the majority of the continent. The Southern California-based mountain bike brand will continue to work with distributors in select European territories.

COVINGTON, Ga. (BRAIN) — Hwa Fong Rubber Industrial Co. Ltd., the parent company of Duro Tire & Wheel, has appointed Katrina Huang to president of its North American subsidiary and Luke Musselman as director of business development, with a focus on the global bicycle market.

VALLEJO, Calif. (BRAIN) — Wren Sports, LLC has appointed Llevant Carbon Fatbikes as its New Zealand distributor and authorized service center. Llevant is also using Wren's suspension forks on its fat bikes.

SANTA CRUZ, Calif. (BRAIN) — Industry veteran Jon Forsberg has joined Ibis Cycles as COO. Forsberg, most recently of Specialized, has more than 23 years of experience in the bicycle industry, including stints with Santa Cruz Bicycles and Bontrager Cycles.

ST. CHARLES, Ill. (BRAIN) — Aventuron, an Illinois-based distributor, will now handle sales of Orange Bikes as the U.K. brand returns to the North American market. 

CAPITOLA, Calif. (BRAIN) — Velocity Commuting Solutions is selling Stromer and A2B e-bikes to corporate employees through mobile showrooms, employee test ride programs and fleet sales to corporations. The company also is offering to match employer purchase incentives up to $200 per bike.

NOVATO, Calif. (BRAIN) — Marin Mountain Bikes Inc. has hired industry veteran Alan Rowland as its Northern California sales representative.

MANCHESTER, N.H. (BRAIN) — Tifosi Optics has joined The Bike Cooperative as the newest supplier partner of the retailer co-op. Effective immediately, members of The Bike Cooperative will earn rebates on their purchases of all Tifosi-branded eyewear, parts and accessories.

FORT COLLINS, Colo. (BRAIN) — Niner Bikes has hired Linda Travis as inside sales manager along with Scott Sherman as the company's newest independent rep for the Midwest 

Travis joins Niner from Sierra Trading Post, where she handled website planning.

STOCKHOLM (BRAIN) — Thule Group has acquired the Dutch company GMG B.V., a child bike seat brand that sells in the Benelux market.

GMG B.V. had sales of 6.1 million euros ($6.8 million) in 2015, mostly under the brand Yepp.

SAN CARLOS, Calif. (BRAIN) — Shane Armando will take over as U.S. sales manager for Ritchey Design, effective Thursday.

LEXINGTON, S.C. (BRAIN) — Hawley will soon start distributing Mavic products in the U.S. The brand will also continue dealer-direct sales. Amer Sports, the owner of Mavic and Enve, also announced a new joint sales structure on Friday.

SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, Calif. (BRAIN) — Interbike is revamping its Fit Symposium, which will be held for the second time this year, during the Interbike expo in Las Vegas. This year's edition will be curated with Medicine of Cycling, a group that organizes an annual academic conference in Colorado Springs.

ANTWERP, Belgium (BRAIN) — Shimano Europe has agreed to acquire Lazer Sport NV, the Belgian helmet brand.

The companies agreed to the deal on Thursday. After clearance from authorities, the acquisition is expected to close in the second half of this year, Shimano said.

GOLDEN, Colo. (BRAIN) — Yeti Cycles has expanded its sales and purchasing departments with the hire of Nat Campbell as national sales manager, Amanda Bell as international sales coordinator, and Kristin Glovac, as purchasing coordinator.

NEVERS, France (BRAIN) — Activa Capital, a mid-market private equity firm, has taken a majority stake in Look Cycle, alongside the brand's existing owners, Dominique Bergin and Thierry Fournier.

LONDON (BRAIN) — UK antitrust authorities have approved the proposed merger of Wiggle and Chain Reaction Cycles, and the two companies are expected to complete the merger soon.

The UK Competition and Markets Authority approved the proposed merger on Thursday.
