MILWAUKEE (BRAIN) — Donald J. Goniu, who founded Olympic Cycle Supply with his father, died Wednesday at 89.

NORTHVALE, N.J. (BRAIN) —Jamis Bicycles hired Doug Martin as the company's new director of sports marketing and communications. Martin will be based in the company's Santa Ana, California, office.

MONTEREY, Calif. (BRAIN) — BMX and mountain bike icon Mike King has been appointed a brand ambassador for the Turbine, a nasal dilator offered by Rhinomed. King joins Tour de France champion Chris Froome as an ambassador.

FORT COLLINS, Colo. (BRAIN) — Niner Bicycles has added two field marketing positions, to support the brand's sales reps with marketing in the brand's East and West regions. The company also announced that it is opening a factory store in Fort Collins. 

HAVERHILL, Mass. (BRAIN) — Boris W. Migliori, the longtime owner of H.R. Sawyer Schwinn Bicyclery, died here Saturday at age 94. For decades, Migliori operated a local landmark retail store that was known nationally as one of the leading Schwinn retailers.

The freestyler, who died in February, is among the six to be inducted at June ceremony.

CHULA VISTA, Calif. (BRAIN) — Freestyler Dave Mirra, who died in February this year at 41, is among the six people who will be inducted into the BMX Hall of Fame at a ceremony in June here. The induction ceremony this year will be held hours after the U.S. BMX Olympic Trials.

SAN FRANCISCO (BRAIN) — Strava has announced two new appointments: Sarah Robb O'Hagan is joining the company's board, and Gareth Nettleton, formerly director of international marketing for Strava, has been promoted to vice president of marketing

BOULDER, Colo. (BRAIN) — Hugh Walton has launched a custom cycling apparel company called Walton Custom Inc. that leverages his 30 years of apparel experience. Walton is a former executive with Pearl Izumi, Descente, Veltec and Hind.

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (BRAIN) — USA Cycling has launched two new advisory committees that the organization said will support efforts to increase safety and ensure clean competition in American bike racing.
