The bike swap meet and expo is now in its 28th year.

DENVER, Colo. (BRAIN) — Organizers of this weekend's VeloSwap consumer bike swap and expo are expecting more than 8,000 attendees and 350-plus vendors, which include individuals, retailers, suppliers, teams and other groups selling used and new gear.

DENVER, Colo. (BRAIN) — High-end bike brand Alchemy Bicycles is now offering consumers a 30-day ride-test guarantee on its Ready to Roll bikes. Customers can return the bikes for a full refund of exchange in the first 30 days.

BOULDER, Colo. (BRAIN) — This month IMBA is launching a new fundraising push to fund dozens of pre-approved new mountain bike trail projects around the country. The organization has identifued 68 trail and bike park projects in 31 states that will benefit from the fundraising.

SCOTTS VALLEY, Calif. (BRAIN) — Fox Factory reported record sales of $127.4 million in the third quarter, up 16.9 percent from the same period last year. LANSING, Mich. (BRAIN) – Michigan this week became the seventh state to adopt a three-tiered classification system for electric bikes.

BOULDER, Colo. (BRAIN) — Shipments from Bicycle Product Suppliers Association members to dealers over the first nine months of the year were down 5 percent from the same period last year, an 86,448-unit shortfall. Sales by dollars fell 3 percent.

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah (BRAIN) — Utah's Sen. Orrin Hatch said Friday that President Trump told him in a phone call that he plans to take action to shrink Bears Ears National Monument in Utah. Many cyclists and other outdoor recreationalists nationally have opinions on the monument status; but it's not clear if changes for Bears Ears would have direct impact on cycling activity or the bike business.
