European hubs could become subject to a new U.S. tariff.

WASHINGTON (BRAIN) — While the U.S. trade war with China is getting the most attention, the U.S. is also engaged with a dispute with the European Union. On Thursday, the Bicycle Product Suppliers Association was scheduled to testify against new tariffs on bike products from the EU.

Dorel says increased IBD sales challenge the industry's negative trend.

MONTRÉAL (BRAIN) — Dorel Industries saw sales growth in the specialty bicycle market in the first fiscal quarter this year, the company reported Friday. Dorel's Cycling Sports Group offers the Cannondale and GT brands in the IBD market.

SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, Calif. (BRAIN) — Darrell Denny is departing Emerald Expositions, where he has been an executive vice president overseeing the company's sports and e-commerce trade shows, including Outdoor Retailer and Interbike. Denny's last day at the company will be May 24.

ANOKA, Minn. (BRAIN) — Vista Outdoor, Inc. is continuing to back away from its previously announced plans to sell off its Bell and Giro businesses.

BOULDER, Colo. (BRAIN) — President Donald Trump on Sunday said he would increase the punitive tariffs on some Chinese goods, including bikes and bike products, from 10% to 25% on Friday. Trump repeated the promise Monday morning, even as the news rattled international stock markets.
