E-bike battery fires have suspended San Francisco's bike-share service.

SAN FRANCISCO (BRAIN) — The city transit agency is giving Bay Area Motivate until mid-October to have e-bike service restored after battery fires forced the Lyft bike-sharing fleet off the streets.

Electric motorcycles got a tariff exclusion. Some are doubtful that e-bikes got the same.

WASHINGTON (BRAIN) — More than a week after the Trump administration announced tariff exclusions, the industry is still unclear — or even "doubtful" — if e-bikes earned it.
