MONTEREY, Calif. (BRAIN) — It had been a number of years since renowned Bay Area chef Chris Cosentino attended Sea Otter. But as a former pro 24-hour mountain biker who raced in the singlespeed category at events all over the U.S. and the world, Cosentino is no stranger to the bike industry.

MONTEREY, Calif. (BRAIN) — WTB introduced a new tire in its Road Plus line today at the Sea Otter Classic. The new Byway Road Plus TCS tire is a 650x47c size, with tread and casing designed "to encourage riders to stray even farther into the dirt," the company said.
MONTEREY, Calif. (BRAIN) — Race Face and Easton are both getting into the power meter market with a $600 spindle-based system that is compatible with cranks from both brands.

TAMPA, Fla. (BRAIN) — American Classic is planning a 35th anniversary celebration at next week's Sea Otter Classic, with cake, giveaways, discounts and a display of vintage American Classic parts on Saturday April 22 at 1 p.m. American Classic will be at booth #213 at the Sea Otter expo.
