Digital marketing experts from Lululemon, Arc'teryx and other brands to speak at Whistler Bike 2016 conference

SQUAMISH, British Columbia (BRAIN) — Experts from some major non-bike brands will speak about e-commerce, brand advocacy and other topics at the upcoming Whistler Bike 2016 conference, being held May 29-June 1. The second annual conference is sponsored and produced by PinkBike.com and Whistler Mountain Bike Park.

Besides a schedule of speakers over three days, the agenda includes ample opportunity to do lift-served riding at Whistler.

New confirmed speakers include:

  • Eric Peterson, the senior vice president of global community for Lululemon Athletica, who will speak about "Approaching the opposite sex: Making lululemon alluring to men, one pedal stroke at a time."
  • Richard Ngo-Tran, vice president of marketing for IM360, who will talk about the use of 360-degree video in marketing.
  • Amber Turnau, marketing communications manager for social media for Telus. She will talk about "Giving technology a human touch: Taking technically-oriented product and making it relatable and desirable."
  • Steve Thorp, the CEO of The Settlement Building/Postmark Brewing. He will talk about incorporating indie musicians, travel partnerships and more in digital brand building.
  • Jurgen Watts, the manager of global digital marketing for Arc'teryx. Watts will talk about "Planning your digital portfolio: Herd your content channels, social spend and ecomm brainwaves into one cohesive plan."
  • Youri Hollier, social media manager for Lightspeed POS and DAVIDsTEA. His talk is titled, "Keep the conversation going: Two-way social media that counts. How to turn your fans into friends and convert along the way."
