CABDA to open show registration next week

Registration is free to CABDA members; other retailers are free if you register soon.

CHICAGO (BRAIN) — CABDA will open attendee registration for its 2016 trade show on Monday, Nov. 2. The CABDA Expo will take place Feb. 3-4 at the Pheasant Run Resort and Convention Center outside of Chicago. Registration is always free to CABDA members and their staffs, and is free to all other IBDs until January.

"We're still hammering out the minor details regarding seminars, clinics and product demos, but we're ready to move on to the next phase in our event prep, which is dealer registration," said Jim Kersten, CABDA's president and show director. "This year we're planning on doubling our attendance numbers from last year."

CABDA relaunched its show — once a major stop on the industry's fall trade show calendar — last year after many years of dormancy.

CABDA has hired registration company My Custom Event to help with the design and implementation of its registration site. My Custom Event is the same company employed by the North American Handmade Bicycle Show to assist with registration.

"The show grew faster than we expected, so using My Custom Event allow us to free up manpower to work on other aspects of the show. Plus it's going to give us better analytics and more communication tools," Kersten said.

Exhibitor and dealer registration information can be found at cabdaexpo.com.
