SAUSALITO, Calif. (BRAIN) — The German bike brand Bulls is coming into the U.S. market this spring, launching to consumers at next month's Sea Otter Classic. The brand has hired California-based OutsidePR as the public relations agency of record for Bulls Bike USA.

Founded in Germany in 1994, Bulls offers a wide array of bicycles including mountain bikes, road bikes, e-bikes, children's bikes and a range of hybrids, commuters and urban models. The brand's elite mountain biking squad, Team Bulls, is currently battling at South Africa's Cape Epic, an event in which they have multiple wins. While Bulls is distributed throughout Europe and South America, it is just now laying the groundwork for an introduction into the U.S. market.

Bulls will be sold consumer direct in the U.S. via the brand's website, which is not yet active.

"Cyclists throughout the U.S. will soon be seeing a lot of Bulls," said OutsidePR president Gordon Wright. "It is extremely rare to be able to work with a highly-regarded bicycle company from Europe and help them to develop an entire brand here in the U.S."

Bulls Bikes USA will debut at Sea Otter; its website will go live later in the spring. For now, Bulls Bikes USA representative Fernando Endara said, "We count ourselves fortunate to have entered into an agreement with OutsidePR. They have a proven track record in the cycling market, but what's impressed me so far is their willingness to offer help for any task in any area we've needed. Launching a brand in the U.S. is a big task, and we feel like we're now well-positioned to do so."

OutsidePR's other clients include GU Energy, Strava, Road ID, Ahnu, Allen Sports, DownTek, AlterG, Red Bull Northern California, King Oscar, Chums/Beyond Coastal and Moji.
