Vevor BMX bikes recalled for lacking chainguards

Published November 5, 2026

WASHINGTON (BRAIN) — Sanven Technology is recalling about 1,950 of its Vevor BMX bikes because they lack a chainguard and don't comply with labeling requirements, violating mandatory safety regulations.

No incidents nor injuries have been reported.

The recall involves Vevor 20- and 24-inch BMX bikes, models SS24001 and SS24002. The model numbers are printed on the product packaging. The bikes were sold in black, and the Vevor logo is printed across the downtube.

The bikes should not be ridden, and consumers should contact Sanven Technology. A free chain guard will be shipped with detailed installation tutorials.

The bikes were sold at Vevor stores nationally and online from October 2024 through April 2026 for between $152 and $188.
