Mirraco moves to Dynacraft for distribution as Trek deal ends

Published December 1, 2014

CARLSBAD, Calif. (BRAIN) — Mirraco, the Southern California supplier of BMX bikes designed by Dave Mirra, officially ends its eight-year partnership with Trek Bicycles on Dec. 31 and is now working with Dynacraft BSC to distribute its line.

Jim Ford, Mirraco's president, said in a press release that the company's BMX bikes will be sold through online retailers as well as through sporting goods stores. Dealers who currently carry Mirraco bikes and wish to continue can contact Dynacraft directly or email info@mirrabikeco.com for more information.

"Dave and I were fortunate to put a deal together with Trek back in 2006. Since then, integrity and transparency have characterized every aspect of our dealings with the people at Trek from John Burke on down," Ford said. "We could not have accomplished what we did without them and we are extremely grateful for their support along the way."

Dynacraft has offices in American Canyon, California, about 35 miles northeast of San Francisco. The company is an importer and distributor of family bicycles with brand names that include Barbie, Hot Wheels, Magna, Malibu, Next and Rhino.

"We found Dynacraft to be the perfect partner. They have an immense amount of expertise in the bike industry to combine with our experience and expertise in the BMX category. I'm excited to see our combined knowledge comes together to provide a quality bike that is good looking and affordable," said Mirra, a BMX pro who was a dominant competitor for years at the X Games.
