Fizik offers new saddle exclusively through QBP

Published July 11, 2014

BLOOMINGTON, Minn. (BRAIN) — Fizik is offering a special version of its VSX road saddles in a limited run that is available only through QBP — not the brand's joint venture distribution group, Highway Two.

The VSX Chroma Edition saddles have a ergonomic channel for riders looking for more tissue relief. The channel is up to 20mm deep, but does not extend through the base. Fizik said saddles with cut-outs are prone to flexing and sagging.

"This marks the first time Fizik has produced anything that will not be available to their joint venture distribution group, Highway Two," the company said. "QBP has done such a good job with VS saddles it seemed to make sense to help QBP focus on what they do well. We believe it is a combination of price point, design and the organization of QBP that has made this product so successful."

The new saddles feature a thermo-welded cover for a flat transition between the different panels. They use a foam density developed to offer the best support and comfort with a smaller contact surface between rider and saddle.

The Chroma edition saddles are available with Fizik's Kium rails. Retail pricing: Arione VSX: $180; Antares VSX $200; Aliante VSX: $180.
