ST-LAURENT, Quebec (BRAIN) — Outdoor Gear Canada and Continental Tire have signed a multi-year distribution agreement for Canada. OGC will share Canadian distribution responsibilities with Highway Two and will be the sole Canadian-based supplier of Continental cycling products.

CHICAGO (BRAIN) — After reviving its long-dormant regional trade show in 2015, the Chicagoland Area Bicycle Dealers Association is looking to build on the show's success, adding an event in San Diego in January 2019.

ASHEVILLE, N.C. (BRAIN) — Cane Creek Cycling Components has updated its minimum advertised price policy. The company said the update simplifies the existing policy by setting MAP and MSRP at the same price and contains provisions stating that Cane Creek will monitor and enforce the policy.

WASHINGTON (BRAIN) — Ikea is working with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission to recall about 4,900 SLADDA bikes in the U.S. because the bikes' belt drives can break. Ikea also is recalling about 200 bikes sold in Canada.

LAWRENCE, Kan. (BRAIN) — Forty-six miles of riding — a good dusty chunk of it on gravel roads — brought the BRAIN Dealer Tour crew to visit two shops Thursday. One store was less than two months old in a tiny town that happens to be along a popular cycling route. The other is 47 years old in a historic brick block in downtown Lawrence, the home of the University of Kansas.
