BOULDER, Colo. (BRAIN) — President Donald Trump on Sunday said he would increase the punitive tariffs on some Chinese goods, including bikes and bike products, from 10% to 25% on Friday. Trump repeated the promise Monday morning, even as the news rattled international stock markets.

BRASELTON, Ga. (BRAIN) — Fox Factory's bicycle business, through the Fox suspension, Marzocchi suspension, RaceFace and Easton cycling brands, was up 12.7% in the first quarter this year, to $65 million. The company also said equipping e-bikes will be a bright spot for Fox in the next two seasons.

OLATHE, Kan. (BRAIN) — Garmin Ltd. reported record first-quarter revenue of $766 million with its fitness, outdoor and aviation divisions collectively increasing 12% from the prior year's quarter.

Its fitness sales numbers, which include cycling products, climbed 8.57% (from $166 million to $180 million).

Program lets retailers take wheel trade-ins toward new Zipp wheel purchases.

INDIANAPOLIS (BRAIN) — Zipp is launching a new program Wednesday that will let consumers trade in their used Zipp wheels for retail store credit they can put toward the purchase of a new set of Zipp wheels. Used gear purveyor The Pro's Closet will provide stores with a trade-in value to offer the customer.
