BERKELEY, Calif. (BRAIN) — The bike industry stepped up to contribute $75,000 to the National Interscholastic Cycling Association this spring, allowing NICA to bring in a matching grant from the Dick's Sporting Goods Foundation. The result is a $158,000 check from the foundation.

Lapierre's World Cup team is already racing on the 27.5-inch wheeled bikes.

SAN DIEGO (BRAIN) — NiteRider Technical Lighting has promoted Robin Jacoway to executive vice president and hired Jim Boisdenghien as vice president of sales.

Jacoway, formerly the company's director of sales and marketing, will continue to steer the brand's marketing efforts, the company said.

BOULDER, Colo. (BRAIN) — CatEye America will soon turn on a new software system that the company said will improve its communication with dealers and its sales reps. The company also said its shipping schedule will be interupted in late June as it prepares to turn on the new system.
