Store pickup of online orders is increasingly popular, retail group says.

WASHINGTON (BRAIN) — The National Retail Federation is predicting that consumer holiday spending will be up a bit this year, to $805 per person, the highest amount in the 14 years that the NRF has been conducting its Holiday Consumer Spending Survey.

Kirk Pacenti, the company's owner, announced last year that he was closing down the company, but another party expressed interest in buying it.

The retail tracking service says less traditional bikes are driving sales growth

PORT WASHINGTON, N.Y. (BRAIN) —  The NPD Group says IBD bicycle dollar sales grew 6 percent in the 12 months ended in August, driven in large part by growth in sales of electric, hybrid and mountain bicycles.
