SYDNEY, Australia (BRAIN) — Australian apparel company Attaquer is expanding its Core Range and entering the U.S. market. Stevan Musulin and Greg Hamer established the brand in 2012, bringing more than 15 years of fashion and cycling brand experience to the company.
Every season Attaquer releases limited-edition kit designed in collaboration with artists and designers. The more subdued Core Range includes summer-weight and winter-weight jerseys and bibs, jackets, vests and other accessories and softgoods. The Core Range aims to bring Attacker's fashion-forward apparel to a mainstream cycling audience, Attaquer says.
The Core Jersey has a body-hugging cut, Swiss-made Eschler fabrics to wick sweat and regulate core temperature, a hidden zip, rubberized gripper at the bottom, 50+ UV protection, and perforated panels for comfort and breathability.
The Core All-Day Bibshort has an anatomical fit and is made from a softer Lycra than Attaquer's race bibs. The fabric is treated with a dye that reflects the sun's ray to keep the fabric cool against the skin. The two-piece chamois features multiple thicknesses and padding densities and is designed to reduce pressure on the perinea region while supporting the ischia bones.
Attaquer is currently selling consumer direct but is also seeking U.S. dealers. Interested retailers can email stevan@attaquercycling.com.
Suggested retail: $110 (Core Jersey), $175 (Core All-Day Bibshort)
