2012 Selling Cycling program launches

Published January 16, 2012

BOULDER, CO (BRAIN)—Selling Cycling, a training partnership between Ray Keener's company Growth Cycle and the National Bicycle Dealers Association, is all-new and all ready to go for 2012.

A survey of NBDA members back in August 2011 revealed a desire for owner/manager training, as well as a couple new staff training topics.

So Keener's production team, in conjunction with an NBDA Advisory committee, cooked up eight new training modules, six for owners and managers, two for staff.

Also new this year are content partnerships with Interbike, SmartEtailing, RMSA, The Bike Cooperative, 3 Dots Design, Merchandising Werx, and Serotta International Cycling Institute.

Also, Skype allows the program to include tips on manager training from experienced retailers like Ron Kozy, James Moore, Jeff Koenig and Roger Frey.

Continuing partnerships with 3point5 and Sparc Retail, along with exclusive global sponsorship by Shimano, ensure that the content is available wherever shop staff do their training.

The 2012 program, which includes four DVDs, an owner's guide, and full web access through a learning management portal, is $195 for NBDA members, $295 for non-members.

Shops wanting more staff training can also purchase Selling Cycling 2011, with ten topics and two hours of content, for $100.

Order the program through the NBDA website.
