RIVERVIEW, FL (BRAIN)—Just Ride Bicycles in Riverview, Florida, the newest bicycle store in the Tampa Bay area, is inviting all bicyclists for its grand opening event on June 4.
Former Tour de France racer and famous bicycle commentator Bob Roll will be on hand from 6-9 p.m. at Just Ride Bicycles, located at 13431 Boyette Rd in the River Springs Town Center at Fish Hawk and Boyette roads. It's next to the 7-Eleven convenience store and Buffalo Wild Wings. The store’s zip code is 33569.
The Just Ride Bicycles grand opening will also include giveaways, drawings and special discounts.
Roll will be on hand for a question and answer, and also for autographs. Roll was one of this country’s most noted bicycle racers and is known for his entertaining TV commentary on bike races. As part of his day at Just Ride Bicycles, Roll will partake in a road ride from the bicycle store parking lot from 10 a.m. to noon. The public is welcome to join the bike ride, but bicycle riders must be able to bike at least 18 mph to keep up with Roll and the ride.
Just Ride Bicycles is owned by David and Jodi Luppino. David Luppino also offers a bike rental program with free delivery in downtown Tampa.
As part of the grand opening, the store will also be selling yellow Lance Armstrong Podium hats for only $5 and the proceeds will go to the Lance Armstrong Foundation. Roll will also be signing the hats. The store has 1,000 available hats, which means as much as $5,000 could be donated to the LAF.
Just Ride Bicycles supports bicycle advocacy by serving as a drop-off center for old bikes to be given to God's Pedal Power to be restored. Just Ride Bicycles is also a member of SWFBUD (South West Florida Bicycle United Dealers), a Tampa Bay coalition of bicycle shops that puts on the Bicycle Bash by the Bay bike festival and lobbies for improved bicycling conditions in the area.
A Trek Bicycles representative will be on hand, too, to answer questions about Trek bikes and products.
Roll will also have his book at Just Ride Bicycles, while David Luppino's book, "Guide to the Tour de France," will also be available.
