About 40,000 Todson helmets recalled for lacking mandatory safety standards

Published February 27, 2026

WASHINGTON (BRAIN) — Todson is recalling about 40,245 Concord 360 Degree Rechargeable Light-Up helmets because they don't comply with mandatory safety standards. No incidents nor injuries have been reported.

The helmets, which don't meet the retention system and positional stability requirements, were sold in size large and fitting a head circumference of about 22.8 to 24 inches. They have a black exterior with a built-in LED lighting system, black straps, black buckle, and have a black plastic knob at the back of the helmet for fit adjustment. "Concord" is printed on the back.

Consumers should cut the straps and contact Todson for a refund, emailing a photo of the helmet. Do not throw the helmet with a lithium-ion battery in the trash, the general recycling stream, or used battery recycling boxes found at various retail and home improvement stores. Lithium-ion batteries present a greater risk of fire.

A municipal household hazardous waste collection center might accept recalled lithium-ion batteries for disposal. Go to Todson.com/360-concord-recall for more information on potential disposal locations.

The helmets were sold at Walmart nationwide and online at Walmart.com from January 2025 through September 2025 for about $30.
