MONTEREY, Calif. (BRAIN) — Küat showed its new overlanding products at the Sea Otter Classic this week, including its IBEX family of truck-bed racks.
The IBEX system is built around a hoop design that allows side access, with a ballistic black powder coat finish. Telescoping cross bars can be flush or top-mounted and the system can be set up at full of half-height.
Optional accessories for the system include the Piston SR mount, a shovel/ax holder, extra crossbar kits, a grab handle, antenna mount, Hi Lift jack mount, a Retrax mount and bottle opener.
On-road weight capacity 600 pounds. Off-road weight capacity 300 pounds.
Shipping is scheduled to start this summer of 2023. MSRP will range from $1,489-$1,589 depending on the SKU.
All base SKUs come with a t-slot mounting kit in the box.
New Piston Pro racks
Küat is expanding its Piston family of hitch racks with a less-expensive “lean version” of its Piston Pro X rack. 
The Piston Pro includes most of the features of the Pro X, including all-metal construction, hydro-pneumatic tire arms and tool fee wheel chock slides. However the Piston Pro will not have Kashima coating or LED tail lights; it will retail for $1,098.
“We’ve always tried to thoughtfully design and produce products that give our customers options. With the Piston Pro, the rider that appreciates the design and the high quality materials can also appreciate a version that costs a few hundred dollars less, " says Luke Kuschmeader, Founder and CEO of Küat.
The Piston Pro will be available to order this monthl at kuat.com, through dealers and online retailers. Shipping is scheduled to start in June.
Kuat also introduced the HUK family of tailgate pads, which includes three pad sizes: a full size curve, a mid-size pad and a half-size pad.
