Gore Bike Wear and Running Wear to show first jackets with new material this month

Published December 4, 2015

BOULDER, Colo. (BRAIN) — A new lightweight waterproof breathable material from Gore, called Gore One, will debut Dec. 15 on jackets being introduced by Gore Bike Wear and Gore Running Wear.

Gore One promises to be lighter, more breathable and more comfortable than previous Gore-Tex materials, while retaining permanent waterproofness. The fabric does not require a waterproof surface treatment but has a "shake dry" effect, which makes it possible to simply shake off water and moisture during or after training. The new jackets will be available to consumers in limited quantities on Dec. 15 and Gore will release further details then.

The new material has already been teased in consumer publications and websites. Besides Gore Bike Wear, Castelli is expected to be among the first bike clothing brands to offer items made with it.
