ST. CHARLES, Ill. (BRAIN) — Bicycle electronics maker Sigma Sport has released its new Sigma Move fitness app for free download at the iTunes App Store.
The app uses an iPhone's GPS to calculate speed, pace and distance for outdoor activities and also records data for indoor fitness activities without GPS. It can be paired with Sigma's R1 Blue Comfortex+ HR chest strap to turn the app into a heart rate monitor.
Sigma Move records average and max speed and can be tailored for personal preferences. The auto lap function can be customized for different sports based on either time or distance, for example, and specific training fields can be saved as favorites. A color-coded route summary in map view provides a quick overview of speed, pace and — if using a chest strap — heart rate data, while also showing current location and auto lap locations.
The app requires iPhone 4s or higher with iOS 7.
