Backcountry Lifeline holds fundraising raffle

Published July 18, 2016

BOULDER, Colo. (BRAIN) — Backcountry Lifeline is holding a raffle to raise money for its mission, which is to make mountain bike events safer.

For a $10 donation, participants are eligible to win items from a $10,000 prize list, including a fully built Yeti SB6C and prizes from Fox, Maxxis, Evoc, Enve, Enduro Mtb Training, and more.

Backcountry Lifeline was founded by four riders following several fatal accidents at events last year. The company provides racers, riders and event organizers with training, tools, and technology, including First Aid, CPR and Incident Command courses.

The giveaway runs through July 30. Donations for chances to win may be made in person at Backcountry Lifeline events or online.

The giveaway is being hosted by a non-profit organization, The 139 Fund, to benefit Backcountry Lifeline. The 139 Fund is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization founded in honor of Will Olson, who died on stage 3 of the Big Mountain Enduro/Enduro World Series race in Crested Butte, Colorado in August last year.

Prize winners will be drawn at the Big Mountain Enduro and the Enduro World Series event in the Aspen, Colorado, July 30.
