KENT, Wash. (BRAIN) — Raleigh Bicycles has hired Curt Davis as its director of product management, effective May 2. The company is also bolstering its sales team with the promotion of Rob Kaplan to vice president of sales and Tyler Stetson to director of inside sales and customer service, effective immediately.

Davis joins Raleigh with 18 years of industry experience in product development, marketing, and R&D. Most recently, Davis was director of product development and R&D at Ideal Bike Corp. and, prior to that, was global director of product management and marketing at Dahon Folding Bikes. He started his career at Cannondale Bicycles, where he worked for 14 years, eventually managing Cannondale's recreation, urban and e-bike lines as global director of product management.

"I'm thrilled to be working at Raleigh, a brand with so much cycling history that makes versatile bikes for all types of terrain and adventure," Davis said. "With a growing number of dedicated places to ride in our cities and increasing opportunities to make bikes that exceed riders' expectations, it's an exciting time for cycling in the U.S. I'm so glad to be working with the experienced, energetic team at Raleigh to make consumer-focused bikes that will provide endless miles of riding joy."

Other changes to the Raleigh team include the promotion of Tyler Stetson from inside sales manager to director of inside sales and customer service, and Rob Kaplan to vice president of sales. Kaplan was previously the vice president of sales and marketing for Accell North America's e-bike division and director of sales in the West. He will move into a new role and replace Alan Rowland, who was senior director of sales and is resigning his position to return to Davis, California, to relaunch a sales agency business.

"We wish Alan the very best of luck in his new pursuits and continue to build on our strong team at Raleigh," said Larry Pizzi, senior vice president of Raleigh Bicycles. "With Curt leading our product development and Rob and Tyler as integral members of the sales team, it will further our goal to make Raleigh bikes appealing and accessible to a larger group of consumers in North America. We're looking forward to continuing to create enjoyable bikes that both inspire current cyclists and encourage new riders."
