UPDATE: QBP plans West Coast warehouse for late 2015

Editor's note: This story has been updated after QBP revised its press release about the planned West Coast warehouse. QBP's original release said the company planned to open the warehouse in early 2016. Now it says it will be open by next December.

BLOOMINGTON, Minn. (BRAIN) — QBP has plans to open a second western warehouse to service California, Arizona, Nevada, Washington and Oregon.

QBP's warehouse in Ogden, Utah, would continue to service the interior Western states. QBP also ships from its headquarters near Minneapolis and a warehouse in Pennsylvania.

"The impact when we opened a distribution center in Pennsylvania with one-day ground shipping to the Northeast showed us the significant value to dealers and spurred us to make the same commitment to the West Coast," said QBP owner Steve Flagg.

"Ultimately," said Flagg, "it is conceivable that someday we will have one-day ground shipping to all major metro areas in the U.S. for all products, parts and bikes."

The new distribution center is slated to open by December 2015. QBP hasn't decided on a specific location.
