SAN FRANCISCO (BRAIN) — Chrome Industries has hired Chris Silverman as the brand's new president. Silverman has more than two decades of experience working with companies including Levi Strauss, X-Large apparel, Mossimo Australia, and twenty two shoes. Most recently he led the global expansion for Australian-based Volley footwear.

"Chrome is an incredibly authentic brand that is a favorite among an extremely discerning urban audience," said Silverman. "We will always develop products that remain true to that core, while introducing the Chrome movement to an expanding audience of highly creative individuals who thrive in the city."

A Chrome release announcing Silverman's hire did not say anything about Steve McCallion, who had been Chrome's president since 2011.
