LAS VEGAS (BRAIN) — Slidepad Technologies, Inc. is rebranding its single-lever brake system as SureStop, moving away from the Slidepad branding immediately.
"SureStop has been selected to better communicate the technology's benefits to consumers and IBDs alike," the company said in a release Monday.
"With a growing number of OEM partners year over year, the new SureStop brand name will aid in conveying the benefit of an easier, safer braking system to consumers, further differentiating bikes with SureStop from the competition" said Slidepad Technologies co-founder and president, Brian Riley.
Besides allowing operation with one hand, the SureStop product is able to modulate front braking to avoid front-wheel lockup. Jamis spec'd some bikes with the system starting in 2013; it has since been used by Sun, Torker, and XDS Australia. The company is exhibiting at Interbike this week at booth #20135.
