NYC Bike Expo moves to midtown location

Published January 22, 2014

NEW YORK (BRAIN) — The NYC Bike Expo has announced a new location for its May 16-17 event. The consumer show is being held at the 69th Regiment Armory on Lexington Avenue at 26th Street in midtown Manhattan.

The show is expected to draw 15,000 cycling enthusiasts, many of whom also participate in the Campagnolo Gran Fondo New York held on May 18.

Joshua Riddle, Campagnolo's press manager, said, "The eyes of the world are on New York and from both a visibility and prestige point of view it makes sense to take advantage of such a location. With such a prominent event drawing so many cyclists from around the world, it was only fitting for Campagnolo to launch a new product at the 2013 NYC Bike Expo: the Bora Ultra 35 wheels. You only get one chance at making a big impression when you unveil new products and the Campagnolo Gran Fondo New York is a great place to make a big impact."

The 69th Regiment Armory remains in use as an active military armory. It is well known for hosting the annual Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, along with dozens of other consumer expos and private parties. It also was home to the New York Knicks before they moved to their current home at Madison Square Garden.

Confirmed returning exhibitors include Campagnolo, Elite, PowerBar, Limar, Paragon Sports, T Edward Wines, CompuTrainer and Biemme. New companies exhibiting at the expo are Stephen Roche Camps, Never Stop Riding, Haute Route and Cipollini Bicycles.
