Published December 7, 2011

SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, CA (BRAIN)--Interbike announced Wednesday that show director Andy Tompkins will leave the company at the end of December.

Tompkins had worked for Interbike's parent company, Nielsen, for 15 years. The past four years he headed Interbike and the Health and Fitness Business expo as show director.

Interbike's managing director Pat Hus will assume all leadership responsibilities for both shows, Nielsen said in a release. In addition, Interbike plans to hire two people in marketing and sales. Tompkins will assist with the transition through December 30.

"We appreciate Andy's contributions in navigating Interbike and HFB over the last four years and helping to position the shows for success in the future," said Hus, in a statement. "We all wish Andy the very best in his future endeavors."

“After a long and rewarding tenure with Nielsen, I’m excited to embark on my next challenge,” said Tompkins, in a release. “With a successful 2011 show behind us and now with Pat and the new team in place, I feel confident that I’m leaving Interbike and HFB in a great place and in very good hands.”
