Exhibitors Lining Up for 2011 Handmade

Published April 1, 2010

SPEEDWAY, IN (BRAIN)—The seventh edition of the North American Handmade Bicycle Show, scheduled for February 25-27, 2011 at the Austin Convention Center, has gotten off to an unusually strong start, with 31 exhibitors signing up even before general exhibitor registration opened on April 1.

The 2010 show sold out all 177 exhibitor booth spaces several weeks in advance of the show. It is expected that 2011 sales will move faster. Exhibitors that attended in 2010 were given the right of first refusal on booths for the 2011 show.

"I have been very encouraged by early sign-ups for the 2011 show so far. We're up around 50 percent over the end of March in any previous year. If this trend continues, we could sell all 220 booth spaces," said Don Walker, the show's founder.

With 70,000 square feet of space in the Austin show hall, compared to 45,000 in Richmond, spaces options are more flexible. "In response to feedback from exhibitors and customers we are making the aisles for the 2011 show substantially wider than in previous years," Walker said.
