CENTRAL ISLIP, NY (BRAIN)—A U.S. bankruptcy court judge on May 5 will consider an application filed by Iron Horse Bicycle Company’s unsecured creditors to investigate allegations of questionable financial conduct on behalf of Iron Horse and its secured creditor.
SOLON, OH (BRAIN)—Solon Bicycle owner Dan Sirkin will be hosting a BMX Freestyle Reunion festival on July 18, 2009 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Solon Community Center.
DUARTE, CA (BRAIN)—Dahon will be participating for the second time in Velo-city, the largest international conference devoted to integrating cycling into public transportation policy.
CHICAGO, IL (BRAIN)—SRAM has been named to Outside magazine’s second annual “Best Places to Work” list.

REDDING, CA (BRAIN)—Come June 22 women will not have to wade through lots of words about men racing for a sentence or two about the women’s race that happened at the same time; they will now get a magazine of their own.
HALES CORNER, WI (BRAIN)—Wheel and Sprocket’s annual Bike Expo went well this year, but not so well that owner Chris Kegel ended up with a shaved head.

Just when you thought it was safe to go back on the sidewalk, Segway and GM team up for a two-wheeled version of that silly-ass scooter, dubbed PUMA, short for “Personal Urban Mobility and Accessibility.” Huh. I thought that was why God gave us feet. You can even strap a pair of Pumas onto ‘em, if you’re so inclined. And they won’t cost you one-sixth of what a car costs today, which is as close as Segway chief Jim Norrod would come to discussing a price point with the Detroit Free Press.
