CHARLOTTE, NC (BRAIN)—Starting in the 2010 season, Team Quick Step cyclists will be riding bicycles produced by Eddy Merckx Cycles. The agreement is for three years.

VISTA, CA (BRAIN)—Haro Bikes has hired Dave Davenport as MTB/Asphalt Bike product manager. He will be responsible for creating the complete bicycle specification for the entire range of Haro’s mountain and asphalt bikes.

BLOOMINGTON, MN (BRAIN)—QBP is donating $10,000 to the Ogden Bicycle Collective, a nonprofit organization that promotes bicycles for transportation and recreation.

QBP, which is opening a new distribution center in Ogden, Utah in Spring 2010, has a long record of advocating for bike-related causes.

Once again the race will be held at the beautiful Northstar Resort at Tahoe in Tahoe, California.

WASHINGTON, D.C. (BRAIN)—Skiers and snowboarders are happy, but bicycle retailers and suppliers may have felt a sales slowdown last month. But outdoor retailers, benefiting from unseasonable cold weather in October, saw an end to an 11-month decline in month-over-month sales.
