DT Swiss introduces e-bike-rated hybrid hubs

Published December 6, 2023

(BRAIN) — DT Swiss has released two lines of e-MTB hubs, complementing its Hybrid wheelsets for e-MTBS and e-utility bikes, which were released several years ago. The new 240 Hybrid and 350 Hybrid hubs allow retailers to put together custom wheelsets with e-bike-suitable hubs.

The 240 Hybrid hub has a DTSwiss Ratchet EXP OS system with 30 teeth; the drive-side bearing is bigger than standard and the hub flange is enlarged compared to standard hubs. The spoke holes are expanded, purpose-built for 2.34 mm DT Swiss spokes. The freehub system is made from hardened steel for durability.

The new 350 Hybrid hubs feature a larger hub body and DT’s Ratchet System with 24 teeth. The increased hub flange size and larger spoke holes are designed to accommodate 2.34 mm DT Swiss spokes.

Both sets of Hybrid hubs have blue lettering on decals to distinguish them from standard DT hubs with red lettering; the Hybrid freehubs are not interchangeable with DT’s standard hubs.

The 240 Hybrid line includes six SKUs, with 12mm-front and 15mm-rear thru axles, options for IS or Centerlock rotor attachments; and options for Shimano MTB or Shimano Micro Spline 12-speed freehubs. All the 240 Hybrid hubs are 32-hole with Boost spacing.

The 350 Hybrid line has nine SKUs. In addition to the options offered in the 240 Hybrid line, the 350 Hybrid line has 36-hole options.
