LONGMONT, Colo. (BRAIN) — Velo Saddles is continuing its tradition of offering a limited edition saddle to celebrate Chinese New Year, which begins Saturday. This year, Velo is offering a Year of the Rooster design based on the company's Angel model.
"The Rooster represents positivity, fidelity and punctuality. For the 35-year-old company, these traits have been core to growing a business that now manufactures over 15 million saddles per year, including roughly 80 percent of the saddles sold in the USA," the company said.
The Rooster model, along with other Angel saddles, is one of the first saddles on the market to use Velo's new proprietary AirForm padding. The company says AirForm has significant benefits over regular high density foam, offering improved durability, shock absorption, and heat dissapation.
The Rooster edition saddle is available in white with red print or black with white print. It has a width of 144mm, 256 mm length, and ti-alloy rails. It weighs 234 grams and has an MSRP of $149 in the U.S. Velo's distributors in the U.S. are BTI, QBP and KHS.
