Islabike launches aftermarket 'cross tires, including 24- and 26-inch models

Published November 23, 2016
PORTLAND, Ore. (BRAIN) — Islabikes, a brand that specializes in performance kids bikes, is now offering its Gréim line of cyclocross tires as aftermarket items.

Gréim is a Gaelic word, pronounced "ga-rhyme," that means "grip." The tires have a tread pattern created during the development of Islabikes' Pro Series. The tires are now available in a lightweight folding variant and a wire bead version with extra puncture protection.

The tread features a closely-spaced center line section to reduce rolling resistance on hard pack and aggressive side knobs for effective mud shedding and grip in corners.

The Gréim Pro features a 185 TPI casing on a folding Kevlar bead and skinwall technology giving a smooth and supple ride at lower pressures. It's available in 24x1.18, 26x1.22 and 700x32. MSRP is $54.95.

The Gréim has a 72 TPI casing, a wire bead, and a Kevlar belt for added puncture protection. It's available in the sames sizes as the Gréim Pro and retails for $29.99.
