PARK CITY, Utah (BRAIN) — POC is showing off a 10th anniversary collection of its Octal helmet and Do Half Blades sunglasses at this year's Tour de France, where the gear is being ridden by the Cannondale-Drapac Pro Cycling team for all 21 stages.
"The Tour de France is the pinnacle of road racing and is the perfect environment to celebrate 10 years," said Stefan Ytterborn, POC's founder and CEO. "Cannondale-Drapac has been an important partner of POC's for several years. Its unique high-performance environment allows POC to continually improve, innovate and redefine our products."
Slipstream Sports, owner of the Cannondale-Drapac team, and POC have been working closely for a number of years. POC has been the provider of helmets and eyewear for the U.S.-based team since 2014.
"We've partnered with POC since the 2014 season, and several years later I'm still really impressed by their continual innovation," said Jonathan Vaughters, CEO of Slipstream Sports and the Cannondale-Drapac Pro Cycling team. "The helmets offer the rider incredible protection and very good coverage, and the design aesthetic of the helmets and glasses is immediately recognizable in the bunch. I'm proud to consider POC a partner to the team as they celebrate their 10th anniversary and I look forward to our continued relationship."
