Eastern introduces two BMX-styled recreational cruisers

RALEIGH, N.C. (BRAIN) — Eastern Bikes is branching out from its BMX roots with a new line of BMX-inspired cruisers. 

The Commando Retro Bikes is available in 16-, 20- and 24-inch wheel sizes. The all-steel Commando features modern touches like Eastern's laser cut head tube badge, wide Eastern logo tires (16" & 20" only) to smooth out the streets and trails, alloy sprocket, flangeless Eastern Riblet grips, and a modern geometry.  Retro features include a layback seatpost, big front-end gussets and retro fork dropouts. The 20- and 24-inch models are now available. The 16-inch models will be available soon.

MSRP is $329 for the 20-inch and $339 for the 24-inch. Pricing is not set for the 16-inch.

Eastern's new Growler model also is BMX-inspired, and comes in 26- and 29-inch wheel versions. The Growler features wide Eastern-logo tires (26-inch only) to smooth out the streets and trails,, anodized and CNC’d alloy sprocket, and flangeless Eastern Riblet grips. Functional features include mechanical disc brakes, heat-treated chromoly one-piece cranks and a durable all steel frame..
 
Growler 26-inch retails for $359.99; the 29-inch is $399.99.
