PACOIMA, CA (BRAIN)—Kemco International has hired industry veteran Ron Blocher as its new U.S. sales representative.

Blocher had been the owner of United Bicycle Parts, a distributor located in Ashland, Oregon. UBP folded up shop in late January because business was slow.

While no one expects a bang-up year, industry leaders predict 2009 will be flat or slightly down compared with a stellar 2008. In this economy, staying level would be no mean feat.
